Frequently Asked Questions

+ How extensive is your coverage of each subject?

The reality is that only a small fraction of the issues in a long commercial outline is examinable or likely to appear on the essay portion of the bar exam. In creating Forte, I scoured past essays and burdensome outlines to identify those specific issues, sparing you the time and energy of trying to figure it out yourself. The Forte templates include all the issues that you’ll need to know to pass any essay.

+ How do I use the materials?

Use the templates for your open book essays, memorization, or whenever you want to test your knowledge and progress. The Forte study schedules included with your purchase provide guidance on how and when to use the templates daily. For more information on how to use the Forte materials, read about our system.

+ Which jurisdictions do you offer?

Currently, only California. Forte will be available in other jurisdictions soon, so join the mailing list for updates.

+ Do you offer materials for the MBE portion of the exam?

No. Our system focuses on the essay portion of the California bar exam. I created Forte to provide you with the resource we knew bar takers needed – but were desperately lacking. However, there are several adequate MBE resources available.

+ Does my access to the portal expire?

No. Currently, Forte students have lifetime access to the portal.

+ Are the study schedules included?

Yes. The Forte study schedules are included with each purchase of the Forte Bar Bundle. Learn more about our system.

+ What is the difference among the Forte study schedules?

There are 4 Forte study schedules — 2 for students using Forte as a supplement to their standard bar prep program and 2 for students using Forte as their primary resource for bar exam essays. For each type of student, there is a classic option and an accelerated option.

The 2 options are identical until Week 7, where the classic option focuses on 1 subject per day, and the accelerated option focuses on 2 subjects per day.

The schedules are intended to cater to your preferred pace and rigor.
